My Approach to Trauma-Informed Therapy

I believe every person has inherent worth and the potential to heal. As an experienced therapist in Round Rock, Austin, and online across Texas, I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences with respect, dignity, and compassion. I am committed to diversity, justice, and ethical integrity, tailoring therapy for individuals, couples, and families to your unique needs using a range of evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Gottman Method for Treating Affairs and Trauma – Helping individuals and couples heal from PTSD, infidelity, and relational trauma through couples therapy.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – Reprocessing trauma to restore emotional balance.

  • Trauma & Somatic Therapy – Healing the mind-body connection in trauma recovery.

  • Gibson’s Therapy for Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents – Navigating complex family dynamics.

  • Attachment-Based & Emotion-Focused Therapy – Healing deep relational wounds.

Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, grief, depression, self-doubt, and difficulty expressing their needs. They long for deep, authentic relationships but may fear rejection, betrayal, or being seen as “too much.” You are enough exactly as you are, and therapy can help you feel safe, empowered, and at peace within yourself, with others, and in your life.

Hi, I’m Tiffany, a therapist the Austin-area offering trauma-informed therapy for individuals, couples, and families, both in-person in Round Rock and online across Texas. My journey into psychology began after earning my English degree from the University of Texas at Austin and teaching high school. While I loved teaching, I realized my true passion was supporting people emotionally and personally, helping them heal, grow, and overcome life’s challenges. This led me to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University, which I earned in 2005.

During my clinical training, I had the privilege of working with diverse clients of all ages in a variety of settings, including juvenile centers, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient clinics. My personal journey of healing through therapy has profoundly shaped my approach, and I am deeply honored to help others transform their lives.

After taking time to focus on raising my children, I became actively involved in community organizations such as MOMS Club, Girl Scouts, and a volunteer supporting school theater, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges parents and caregivers face. These experiences strengthened my dedication to helping clients navigate trauma, family conflict, and complex relationship dynamics.

When my oldest child reached high school, I returned to my professional path by completing additional counseling training, earning my Professional Counseling Associates license (LPC-Associate), and opening my private practice. I am a lifelong learner, committed to staying current with research and therapy techniques to better support my clients’ growth.

I am married to my husband of 30 years, and we have three children, one in high school and two at UT Austin. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, gaming, and volunteering in the community.

As a therapist, my approach blends professional expertise with personal insight. I provide research-based, empathic therapy tailored to your unique needs, creating a safe space for healing and personal growth. I support clients in overcoming trauma, breaking free from unhealthy family dynamics or relationship patterns, and building resilience. My ultimate goal is to help you create a fulfilling, meaningful life while living authentically..
